Story

Measurements are taken from observation targets which can be molecular samples, panels or individuals. From one individual or panel there can be zero or more molecular samples. One sample is derived either from one individual or panel of individuals.

Class diagram

Abstract population is generalisation of individual,panel of individuals and population. Possible attributes are e.g. primary language, race and ethnicity. One individual may belong to zero or many panels and panel may have zero or many individuals.
